Visiting the south pole

I would like to visit the south pole.
That is a dream, even a a realisable dream. Sure it would cost a few buck, but still within limits. Now why haven't realized that dream?
Half the answer is family obligations, not that I am held back, but with family everything is a priority. The other half of the answer is that I would like to share the experience with the family. Now, it is quite a bit more expensive. Something that is not as realisable, something that requires a much stronger prioritisation. These are probably quite common scenarious for people's dreams. Anyone care to comment?
This dream should perhaps be renamed visiting antarktis, that really what I meant. Below you will see a map to get me there ;)

Really sure you can stay without internet for that long?

Don't agree. The South Pole
Don't agree. The South Pole is too cold.
where to then?
you mean, you don't share the dream. You have to agree that it is relatively realisable (compared to peace in the world for example).
Any way, where would your dreams take you?
